  • So how is everyone? Happy New Year!! Lots has happened and I don't know where to start so I will just tell just one thing that has happened today.

    I put on a pot to boil. A little while later I think to myself "Mmmm smells like a camp fire" (I like the smell of a camp fire or something on the grill) Then I think "Why does it smell like a camp fire?!" As you guessed I turned on the wrong burner and a dish towel was smoldering. I said "Oh no, I burned a towel." Immediately, Emma starts freaking out and yells "DUCK AND COVER JOSEPH!" Then runs down the stairs. Joseph, looking a little confused, obeys and follows her. Then for the next 30 min Emma crawled around the house, she said it was "because of the smoke" Even though what little smoke there was, was long gone. Haha Then Joseph asked me if the fire was going to burn all his toys. I can only imagine what Emma told him while they were downstairs ducking and covering.  hehe Well at least she remembers the stuff they taught about fire safety at school.

  • Man, I feel like it has been forever since I have been on here. Yikes. I am surprised Jen didn't hijack my site again. Here is a quick recap of my last few weeks.

    Halloween: Emma was "Double Trouble". Joseph "Batman".

    We went to Louisiana for the preachers study. Here are the kids in the car and by some lake there.

    Tore down my birthday cake..boohoo. But look at my lute!

    Jen sent me some cake.

    Worked the Book Fair at school. I guess that's what comes with being the Assistant Librarian.

    Read the Twilight series.

    Lexie spent the night. They played beauty shop.

    Went to a costume party. (As posted on Jen's site). I have pretty much the same photos except here are Batman and a Transformer fighting and Emma playing the keyboard as her talent.

    Joe and Vicki came down for Thanksgiving.

    Emma got sick last week and puked at Shoney's. Pretty gross.

    Went and saw Twilight and Bolt. Not at the time..hehe

    Went to Walmart the day after Thanksgiving at around 8:00 pm and it was totally dead, it was AWESOME.

    Here is just a picture of Joseph.

    Emma and I went to the doctor Tuesday and we both have Strep Throat. Fun Fun

    And next week I will be working the Santa Shop at the school. Guess that's what comes with being the PTO Treasurer.

    Oh and I have been taking my tax classes to prepare for 08 taxes. I start working regular hours this month too.

    Thats all I can think of right now. Aren't you glad..hahaha. Thanks for making it this far. :)

  • Columbine

    Just got back from going to a presentation by Craig Scott, who was a student at Columbine when the shootings occurred plus his sister was the first student killed in the shootings. He does a presentation called Rachel's Challenge. It was soo good and heart wrenching. If you get a chance to see him, it is worth it. He goes to Jr and High Schools and gives this presentation. All teens need to see it.

  • Update on Stefan:

    They found a cyst on his brain that was causing the seizers. They say it is not life threating, thank goodness. They will be watching the cyst. He will have to be on seizer medication while they watch it and decide what to do.
